Fourier transform can be used in analyzing the dynamics of the market and stock market with the same possibilities. However, Fourier transform is rarely suitable for the processing of non-stationary signals or those whose frequency content changes over time. It is debatable though and matter of research, whether fourier analysis really provides practical value for investors forecasting stock market price.
